The Importance of Logos and in their proper format..
Logos- Do you know how important a good logo is to your company? Think of your Logo as your company being appropriately dressed for a function. Would you wear a suit to a bbq, or an evening gown to a business meeting? Plus I.T. Consulting can provide you with branding that is tailored to your client base/demographic
There is a lot more to design than a cool looking graphic. A logo is often the first impression that you can make on a customer, why not make a great one?
What is a logo? A logo is a visual representation of your company. Logos should be simple, easy to understand and scalable. Logos should ALWAYS be in VECTOR format.
What is a vector graphic? Vector art is key for a logo. Since the art is made from a series of mathematical curves it will print very crisply even when resized. For instance, one can print a vector logo on a small sheet of copy paper, and then enlarge the same vector logo to billboard size or larger and keep the same crisp quality. A low-resolution raster graphic would blur or pixelate beyond recognnition if it were enlarged from business card size to billboard size. Your logo should look good at ANY SIZE.
Logos should also look good in grayscale, because your logo will be used on EVERYTHING that you use to identify your company, from your website, the sign outside your business to your letterhead. There are certain types of documents that are not usually printed in color.

See the sample vector logo directly below, it looks just as good small as it does large. This logo is scaleable to almost anysize. |

Notice the logo below, this logo looks like the same logo as above, but it was converted to a raster graphic and then scaled larger. Raster graphics are NOT scalable larger, the quality deteriorates if you try to enlarge it even small amounts. As you can see in the example below in the larger version.
We’ve had many companies come to us that thought they had a real logo, but instead had a graphic that was created in a raster program such as photoshop.. Those companies when facing an instance, such as having their logo on a large sign, found out that their logo they paid good money for was useless to them.
These companies have had to have their logo redesigned, or recreated, in vector format which is just a waste of you or your company’s time and money. It’s better to do it right the first time. |
