Server Maintenance

Download and install all Microsoft Updates and Security Patches:
By keeping your server up to date with the latest updates and security patches, you are keeping your system safe from known vulnerabilities within your operating system. Without routinely updating your server, you could leave major security holes wide open.

Analyze hard drives for defragging:
When your hard drives become fragmented, the process of defragmenting is needed to increase efficiency and reliability. Defragmenting is generally a couple hour process, and is a service that can be performed remotely after hours.

Update Antivirus software:
Viruses are getting smarter and smarter. By keeping your antivirus software updated, you are protecting your network and out-smarting viruses. Not only will we update your antivirus software, but we will configure and review your antivirus settings to meet your network needs.

Security check:
How secure is your server? Do you have sensitive information on your server? Plus IT, Inc. will review your server thoroughly for security loop-holes and dangers. By keeping your security checks regular, you could prevent the compromising of your files and infrastructure.

User account management:
Do you know what accounts are active on your server? By keeping an up to date inventory of Active User Accounts, you will know who can log into your server and who cannot.

Documentation:
Knowing your servers information is critical. Having on hand your passwords, serial numbers, warranty information, and other specifications is vital. By preparing a user friendly manual with all of your important information, you will have the needed documentation available to you at any given time.

Cable management:
By keeping your cables organized and securely strapped down, you can help prevent fire hazards and safety issues. An organized cable structure also makes cable troubleshooting much easier.

Restoration of tape data:
Your tape drive tells you it backed up successfully, but is your data really on the tape? By restoring data from your tapes and cleaning your tape drive, you will not only maximize the life of your tapes and your tape drive, but you will also have the peace of mind knowing your data IS there. Without testing and restoring your data from your tapes, there is no way of knowing if your data is being backed up properly.

PC Maintenance

Plus IT, Inc. is improving the way computer maintenance is performed.
The new and improved maintenance plans are designed and structured with the customer in mind. With that being said, the following maintenance plans are designed to be done through a remote connection (from Plus IT) on weekends, or after business hours. By structuring the maintenance around your work hours, this will eliminate any interruption of your work flow.

The maintenance will be performed at a specified off hour time and a report of our tasks and findings will be completed and sent following the completion of the maintenance. The maintenance will no longer be charged at an hourly rate, but will now be charged as a service based upon the amount of computers being maintained.
