Do you want to increase your PC’s speed? |
|
 |
| |
 |
When it comes to computers, everyone we talk to wants more performance out of their PC, whether they have an older PC or a brand new one.
There are several different reasons for a PC to slow down: Too many programs are running in the background, the hard drive is too full to function properly, the hard drive is fragmented, there are incomplete programs as a result of installing or uninstalling software, the PC is infected with malware, or there is insufficient memory. A combination of any of these or other factors can cause your PC to slow down.
Regardless of your situation, you can always make your computer perform better.]
To get you started, here are four steps you can take right away whether you use Windows XP or Vista:
|
|
|
| |
1. Remove Programs
Remove any programs that you do not need or use.
2. Clean Up Your Windows Registry
This will remove program traces, produced by installing or uninstalling programs, which can slow down or even crash your system. (Warning: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another methods. Contact us for recommended methods)
3. Run Disk Clean-Up
Cleaning your hard drive increases drive space which in turn may improve performance, depending on how full your hard drive is.
4. Defragment Your Hard Drive
By defragmenting your hard drive it reorganizes your files in a sequential manner, making it easier to read and also making bigger chunks of space available to write, enabling your PC to work faster. |
